Our goal when creating the Xara Picture Editor was to create the fastest, slickest, simplest photo editor around.
The Xara Picture Editor (XPE for short) provides the basic, most commonly required photo features. You can quickly preview, resize, straighten, crop and enhance pictures.
Most photo editing software is over-complex, difficult to use and learn. While some photo editing software is very powerful, the downside is loads of menus, dialogs and general clutter. The XPE takes the opposite approach of providing a very simple but very fast photo editor.
The XPE can be easily extended with third party plug-ins, either written specifically for XPE (such as the red eye and 3D bump map tools—click on Tools on the left for more information) or the many available Photoshop plug-ins.
